Crickett the Boston
I am Crickett the Boston
American Made
Born and bred in the U.S.A.
Home of the brave
Land of the free
God shed His grace on me.
I do not Work
or Sport
or Herd
or Hound.
I am a Terrier, but my head is round.
Not small enough to be called a Toy,
I am Crickett the Boston
New England style
Only here to make you smile.
Land of the Pilgrim's pride
Majestic mountainside
From dale to shining sea
God shed His grace on me.
I am bred for your pure joy.
The American Gentleman in tuxedo attire;
A Beantown Bull tho' no fight I desire.
I am Boston Strong
Tried and true
Loyal through and through.
A lovable huggable girl or boy
I am bred for your pure joy.
I am Crickett the Boston
The Olde Towne Team
Bay State holds the American Dream.
He has crowned Thy good with brotherhood
My country 'tis of Thee
God shed His grace on me.
O' Beautiful for spacious skies...
and eyes set quite far apart.
Smooshy face
Big nose
Tall ears
Wide jowl
Golden heart.
Black and white, brindle or seal
It is my facial expressions that seem to appeal.
My disposition that makes me ideal
for city dweller or suburbanite;
It is in your bed where I will spend the night.
I am Crickett the Boston
The City upon a Hill
Hub of the Universe still!
Let freedom ring
of Thee I sing
Cradle of sweet Liberty
God shed His grace on me.
My playful antics keep folks amused
Or a bit of posturing if my bone is misused.
My carriage gives me presence beyond my size:
I am sturdy
and boxy
and noble
and wise.
We can trot trot to Boston
And trot trot to Lynn.
You better watch out -
It is love you will fall in.
